History

In operation since 1952 the Fairless Works complex formerly a fully integrated steel mill, housed a coke production plant, steel making and flat roll finishing operations, a powerhouse and a chemical plant.

Deep Water Port

A deep water port provides sea faring access to domestic and international markets. Since 2004 the port has been operated by Kinder Morgan, the largest independent terminal operator in North America. Kinder Morgan’s terminal services for break bulk and liquid materials includes operations for storage, distribution, blending and logistics.

Two Class One Railroad Operators

With two Class One Railroad operators CSX and NS the KIPC provides completive rail access to its 50 miles of rail. Utilizing its unit train capability bulk product can be received and shipped throughout North America.
